You’re gotten a few clients, but they are really spread out. You're never really sure where the next client is going to come from.

You have a Facebook Business Page, but it's not getting a lot of interaction.

You're wondering how to get clients on Instagram?

You're feeling bummed that you've done all this work, but not enough clients are calling you.

You’re wondering if you need to take some additional trainings to boost your experience.

Here's your customized plan to help you start getting consistent doula clients:

1. Join (or Create!) a consistent free meetup event. Is there a Doula Tea or Meet the Doula event in your area? If so, find out what you need to do to join. If not, create your own. The key here is consistency. This won’t work if you host one and give up if no one shows up. Pick a consistent date and place (the first Thursday of the month at XYZ coffee shop). Invite other birthworkers to join you and help you spread the word. It may start slow, but if it’s a consistent offering - it will be easy for others to help you advertise it. Soon you’ll have all the prenatal yoga instructors in town saying “Check out the Doula Tea that happens every month…”

2. Get consistent on social media! You don't have to post constantly on social media, but you do have to post consistently. If you need help with Instagram post ideas, check out my Instagram for Doulas.

3. Network. Network. Network! Reaching out to other local birth professionals is VITAL to getting more clients. Don't just contact OBs and midwives, reach out to other businesses with a similar clientele like maternity photographers, chiropractors, other doulas, acupuncturists, prenatal fitness/yoga instructors, etc.
