The Doula Darcy
The Doula Darcy (a.k.a Darcy Sauers) is a Doula Business Coach & Marketing Strategist who combines her unique background: 10 years in advertising and 14 years as a postpartum doula to help other doulas build thriving businesses
The Doula Darcy worked for 10 years in the advertising and marketing field before having 3 children and then becoming a postpartum doula in 2010.
She attributes her background in marketing to her success at building a thriving postpartum doula business in a small town in New Hampshire. Now she loves sharing her industry expertise with other doulas.
The Doula Darcy is the founder of the My Doula Village, a monthly membership community which helps doulas with the marketing side of being a doula so that they can get more clients.
The Doula Darcy also works 1:1 with doulas who are ready to scale their doula business to serve more people, earn more impact and work less hours. Is this you? You can book a Breakthrough Call with her here.
Her 1:1 coaching is offered in 3 and 6 month packages, but she also offers one-off Strategy Sessions.
Darcy has been a DONA certified postpartum doula and lactation counselor for fourteen years. She lives near the Seacoast of New Hampshire with her three kids and a turtle.
The Doula Darcy is a member of DONA (Doulas of North America) and CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association).

As a doula, determining your rate is not just about choosing a number that feels right—it’s about valuing your time, skills, and the expenses of running a business. Many doulas, both beginners and those further along in their careers, struggle to charge rates that reflect their true worth. If you want to make doula work a sustainable, long-term career, it's important to understand the business side of it, and that starts with setting your rate correctly.
